Malenia - Elden Ring

In October 2023, it was the birthday of a close friend who is a huge fan of Elden Ring and FromSoftware games in general.

After searching for gift ideas, I eventually found the model Malenia from Elden Ring on NomNom Figures’ Patreon, which seemed like a perfect choice.

With the model selected, I started what was, at the time, my largest 3D printing project. My printer’s build plate was not large enough to print all the parts at once, so I had to split the model into multiple prints.

It took several attempts to get the parts right: one arm was missing, the sword was incomplete, and the base was uneven.

I started by priming and painting the base.

Notice how the hole in the center, where the tree is supposed to be inserted, is painted as well ? This was another mistake. I should have masked it before painting, as glue does not bond as well to painted surfaces.

Next, I painted the tree and assembled it.

Finally, I painted Malenia and her wings, then assembled the entire figure.
